South Wye

We have been busy developing a new climbing area in Queenstown with our friend Tony. it is about 2 hrs walk up hill to the rock wall which is 200m high. so far we have walked along the half way ledge and abseiled down place bolts to climb back up. we have done 2 new routes.
One is called Big day out and is 4 pitches long the difficulty grades are 20,21,16,18. the hard bits are short. The other one is called 2 steps ahead of the pack and is 2 pitches long. grade 20,24 this is consistently hard.
The cliff is huge so there are a lot more climbs to do as well as the top half above what we have done so it should keep us buy for many weekends to come. we have made a rock bivvy there so have somewhere nice and sheltered to sleep. We will probably camp up there for the first time next weekend.
On a personal note my brother John is going to have his first baby( well actually Steph is) and I am super excited about becoming an aunty. Love you too Holly and Patrick.

Hi guys, glad all is well. Do you keep in touch with Barrack and family. Say a big Hi!! to them for me. We are getting some rather hot weather here in Perth. W.A. Today it has dropped a bit. Need it. Have been swimming in pool already. Callum, has a swim as soon as he gets home. Callum (my other half) is a boilermaker/welder. So after welding and the heat of the day. He has had it so, in the pool he goes. Hope your weather is being kind to you. Take care. Wendyxxx

Hi

Sally sees Barak,Kelly and the kids quite a bit since she travels to Auckland for work.
They all came down for our wedding and Nanny Ford taught us to gold pan in the Arrow river.
The Kid's are going to Pet's (their Oma) for Part of the summer holidays so we may see them then as well. we will have christmas with Pet and Richard this year. Holly has a cell phone now so we get the occasional Txt and we call them Christmas, birthdays e.t.c
They are awesome kids.
Holly looks so much like barak.

We will be going to the Gold Coast, But will wait until may so we can actually do something in the heat. It's strong when you're not used to it. The pool would make it OK though. We will look up Michael when we are over there. He came to Lionel Ford's funeral, and had all the Ford extended family over to his place for a BBQ and we saw them a couple of years ago on a ski trip here.
